Session Description:
This program is designed for healthcare professionals involved in developing written asthma action plans that includes daily management and how to recognize and handle worsening asthma.
Session Objectives:
Upon completion of the program participants should be able to:
- Discuss the role of inflammation in the pathophysiology of asthma
- Review and practice the new asthma therapy guidelines
- Discuss clinical methods to assess asthma severity
- Review and practice therapeutic options for asthma stepped care
Technology Requirements:
Participants registering for programs should have access to the following technology for best viewing and participation:
- Personal computer with Macintosh or Windows with 512 MB of RAM
- Broadband internet connection such as an office LAN, DSL, or cable modem
- Phone next to personal computer (or speaker phone if multiple people are viewing)
