Presenter: Dr. Alan Wolfgang, University of Georgia School of Pharmacy
Session Description:
Dr. Wolfgang currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the College of Pharmacy at The University of Georgia. This program is designed for middle and high school students and will provide students with information about how to become a Pharmacist. The students will gain a better understanding of the steps involved in completing a Pharm.D., including admission requirements and requirements for licensure. Students will also learn about career options available to them upon their completion of Pharmacy School.
Session Objectives:
Students should develop a better understanding of the:
- Career options available to pharmacists;
- Requirements for licensure as a pharmacist in Georgia;
- Components of the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) curriculum; and
- Steps in the Pharm. D. admissions process.
