This workshop will discuss methods for effective development, implementation and evaluation of culturally sensitive community-based HIV/AIDS risk reduction and prevention programs. Methods discussed include conducting community needs assessments, developing partnerships and collaborative relationships, designing HIV/AIDS interventions that are culturally sensitive and gender specific, and creating evidence-based programs through evaluation planning.
- Discuss the importance of developing community needs assessments and partnerships when planning HIV/AIDS programs
- Identify elements needed to develop gender and culture sensitive HIV/AIDS risk reduction and prevention programs
- Describe implementation and evaluation methods for HIV/AIDS risk reduction and prevention programs
