Dr. Peter Taylor discusses current standards in breast imaging using mammograms, ultrasound, and MRIs. He provides information on the upcoming new breast imaging techniques related to tomosynthesis, breast specific gamma imaging, and contrast-enhanced dual energy mammography. He encourages practitioners to always be mindful of the patient who is waiting during the extensive process of being screened, the diagnostic process, the biopsy process, waiting on the pathology results and then the possibility of surgical or oncologic consults.
