Session Description: Keys to Unlock the Treasure called Volunteers by Marty Atherton, Volunteer Management Consultant, will guide you in laying a strong foundation on which to build an excellent volunteer program. With information about volunteers in this current economy, the message is timely! This is not just about people donating their time only, but in cultivating relationships so that volunteers also become donors.
Session Objectives:
Session participants will learn to:
- Identify the elements in laying a strong volunteer management foundation
- Understand the three R's and an overview in achieving each
- Assemble resources
Technology Requirements:
Participants registering for programs should have access to the following technology for best viewing and participation:
- Personal computer with Macintosh or Windows with 512 MB of RAM
- Broadband internet connection such as an office LAN, DSL, or cable modem
- Phone next to personal computer (or speaker phone if multiple people are viewing)
- Computer speakers (built-in or attached)
- Latest version of Adobe Flash which can be downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com
