Session Description:
This program is designed to raise awareness that cardiovascular risk factors are identifiable in childhood and are predictive of future cardiovascular risk.
Session Objectives
- To Identify risk factors for cardiovascular disease in adult populations.
- To relate risk factors that can be identified in children and adolescents to the probability of future atherosclerotic disease as an adult.
- To discuss the importance of physical activity as an important moderator of cardiovascular risk factors in children and adolescents.
