Program Description
We are living through a period in history where discrimination, oppression, racism and violence are highlighted on our screens daily. This chaotic period is responsible for an increase in our community's anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other behavioral health problems.
Providers must be aware more than ever of the need for culturally and linguistic responsive services in order to serve anyone who walks through the front door.
This presentation will address the critical importance of cultural and linguistic competence in the delivery of behavioral health services for everyone. It will provide important information to address the areas that every provider must be aware of and be ready to implement in their organization in order to achieve cultural competence.
